I just finished a series of messages this Christmas season at Central called “Waiting Here for You.” There are a lot of us waiting on God for something right now. In fact, waiting on God is a vital part of our spiritual growth process.
Are you waiting on God for something in your life right now? No matter how you feel or what you see, God is actively at work in your situation. He wants to use whatever circumstance or situation He has allowed in your life to grow and mature you as His disciple.

Think about this… God’s work in you while you’re waiting is as important as what you are waiting for. Do you believe that? If you are a follower of Jesus, this is truth.
God wants to mold you into the image of Jesus. He is always working to accomplish to accomplish that. Philippians 1:6 (NASB95) states, “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” God has begun the work and He will complete it. All we have to do is trust Him.
I ask again, are you waiting on God for something in your life right now? Whatever you’re waiting on, He’s working on you, in you, and wants to work through you during this time of waiting. Take the Psalmist’s advice, “Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.” (Psalm 27:14 (NASB95)). I’ll give you the advise God so often whispers to me, “trust Me.”
